Lilly Shepherd is a small-animal vet and university lecturer who has spent more than a decade caring for pets and supporting the people who love them. She's worked in busy first-opinion and emergency clinics, helping dogs and their families through everything from routine check-ups to those worrying, middle-of-the-night visits.

Lilly has completed advanced training in small-animal medicine, clinical research and veterinary education. At Best Friend Club, she uses this mix of hands-on experience and up-to-date science to advise on dog nutrition, helping to create recipes that are complete, balanced and genuinely practical for everyday life with dogs. Her goal is simple: food that supports happy, healthy pets and feels good to feed.
